About this rug
A lobed medallion floats on the deep navy field of this vintage Baluchi rug, surrounded by small repeating florals in red, ivory and multicolored accents. Detailed spandrels fill the corners and layered tribal borders carry curvilinear patterns around the whole — geometric and floral traditions working together, as Baluchi weavers liked them.
Hand-knotted in natural wool with vegetable dyes, the pile is soft and the aged patina genuine. At 6'6" x 9'9" (198 x 297 cm) it is a proper large-room rug for a living room, bedroom or dining space with boho or traditional leanings.
