Our Story
Turkman Carpets is a US-registered family business built around one conviction: the world's most beautiful rugs are still made the way they were centuries ago — by hand, on wooden looms, with wool spun and dyed the traditional way. Our roots are Turkmen, and that heritage shapes everything we choose to sell.
We hand-select our rugs from Afghanistan, Turkey and Pakistan, working with weavers, small workshops and trusted rug houses across each region. Every piece that reaches our collection is inspected for quality, cleaned professionally, and photographed honestly — so what you see is exactly what arrives at your door. We describe each rug's age and condition precisely, whether it's brand new off the loom or a hundred years old.
When you buy from us, you're not just decorating a room. You're bringing home a piece of a craft that takes months, sometimes years, to complete, made by hand rather than pulled off a factory line.
What We Carry
Our collection spans new, vintage, and antique rugs in every style worth owning. Fine city and workshop weaves like Oushak, Bidjar, Sultanabad, Ziegler and Heriz. Soft, low-pile Gebbeh rugs. Tribal and nomadic pieces from Turkmen, Ersari, Baluch and Kazak weavers. Flatwoven kilims, hallway runners, and rare collector pieces including authentic Afghan war rugs. If it's handwoven and beautiful, chances are we carry it — or can find it for you.
