A camel-toned field sets this 5'0" x 7'3" vintage Afghan rug apart. Hand-knotted in wool, it follows a Persian-style Hamadan design: a vertical spine of connected serrated diamond medallions in madder red and indigo runs the length of the ivory-camel ground, each medallion latch-hooked at the edges and centered on a small floral rosette. A deep navy border of stylised blossoms and a barber-pole guard frame the composition. The undyed camel ground is characteristic of northwest Persian village weaving and gives the rug a soft, luminous warmth that pairs easily with wood and neutral rooms. Firm and even in the pile, it works beautifully as a living-room or bedroom centrepiece. A one-of-a-kind vintage piece, with only one available.
