About this rug

A distinctive tribal piece, this antique Baluch rug was hand-knotted in Herat, Afghanistan in the 1960s in the architectural "Taj Mahal" design, its finely drawn motifs echoing arches and structured geometry. Woven from 100% wool, it carries a rich palette of deep orange, navy blue, burgundy, ivory and brown across a balanced, storytelling layout. Well preserved and full of character, it makes a genuine collector's piece as well as a warm anchor for a living room, bedroom or traditional interior. Every handmade rug is unique, and this one carries its own history.
