About this rug
This hand-knotted wool rug from the 1950s carries a dense, repeating floral lattice across the entire field rather than a single medallion, closer to a Persian-style Herati (fish/Mahi) pattern than true Caucasian geometry. Small rosettes and botehs repeat edge to edge in warm red, orange, and rust tones, framed by an ivory border filled with fine floral vining and a narrow red guard stripe. Made from 100% natural wool with a rich color palette of red, ivory, green, navy, black, and hints of orange, the rug is in excellent condition and measures approximately 7'5" x 11'3", generous enough for a large living room or dining space.
