This is a saf — the rare multiple-niche prayer format, in which row after row of mihrab arches repeat across a single monumental field. Three columns wide and seven rows deep, the arches rise in warm ivory, cream, peach and camel, each framing a dark navy panel filled with fine geometric striping, the whole grid pulsing with quiet rhythm. Antique, hand-knotted in Afghanistan from wool, the rug measures 7'3" x 12'5" — sacred architecture at room size. Saf carpets of this scale rarely come to market and are sought by collectors of tribal and religious weaving. On the floor or on a wall, it commands attention without a single loud color.
