About this rug

This 6'5" x 9'4" Afghan kilim carries the Persian-style Mir design, its elongated pointed medallion in sky blue and ivory rising through a field worked entirely in tiny repeating boteh (paisley) and floral-vase motifs — the signature device of Mir weaving. The ground shifts naturally from crimson red to deep navy across its length, a genuine wool abrash that gives the piece real depth rather than a flat, uniform dye lot. Pink, gold and ivory botehs pack the field edge to edge, and a bold red border with a sky-blue outer stripe carries its own repeating paisley and floral fill.
