About this rug

A dense, room-size Afghan kilim woven in the Persian-style Mir pattern — the diamond medallion built entirely from tiny repeating boteh (paisley) motifs that made Mir carpets famous across Persian weaving centers. Here the medallion runs pointed-end to pointed-end down a vivid hot-pink and burgundy field, packed edge to edge with micro-boteh in navy, olive, gold, teal and ivory until the surface shimmers with detail. A pointed ivory spine threads through the medallion's center, and a wide hot-pink border with a sage-green inner stripe and multicolor diamond motifs closes the composition.

Hand-woven in wool using fine, low-profile flatweave technique — no pile, reversible, and exceptionally durable. At 6'5" x 9'10", it's a genuine collector-grade centerpiece for a large living or dining room.
