Indigo and ivory carry this 4'5" x 6'3" vintage Afghan rug, hand-knotted in wool in a Persian-style Qashqai design. A bold ivory medallion, serrated and latch-hooked, floats at the centre of a navy field packed edge to edge with paisley botehs, small blossoms and scattered tribal motifs. Brick-red spandrels frame the corners, and a border of large linked rosettes closes the composition. The dense, busy field is pure nomadic exuberance — every inch worked with pattern — while the strong medallion keeps the eye anchored. Colours run deep and warm, easy against wood and leather.
