About this rug

A charming vintage rug in the Caucasian Kazak manner, interpreted by Afghan master weavers. Three large octagonal medallions sit on a clean ivory field, alternating deep crimson and rich teal, each centred on a Greek-key fret and ringed with hooked scroll arms. Folk-art deer and horses wander the open ground between them, adding naive character, while a gold-tan border carries interlocking geometric scrollwork in red, teal, ivory and brown. The soft medium pile is in excellent vintage condition. A collector-quality accent for a living room, bedroom or eclectic interior.
