This 3'5" x 13'2" vintage runner was hand-knotted in Afghanistan in a Persian-style Kashan floral design — a long, elegant weaving made to dress a hallway or stair landing. A deep navy field carries an all-over tracery of curvilinear palmettes, blossoms and leafy vines in rose, gold, ivory and soft green, contained by a matching floral border and fine guard stripes. The flowing, garden-like drawing is a world away from the region's geometric tribal rugs, reading refined and calm underfoot. At over thirteen feet it suits a generous corridor, entry, or galley kitchen wanting a slim, decorative runner.
