About this rug

Handwoven vintage Afghan Senneh-style kilim runner with a bold continuous zigzag/lightning bolt medallion spine running the full length in vivid red on an ivory/cream field densely packed with all-over small repeating boteh & floral motifs. Each point of the zigzag chain opens into a diamond — some filled with sky blue, pink or ivory boteh. Sky blue border with navy outer stripe and small multicolor floral chain throughout.
Flat weft-faced weave, wool on wool, fringed one end. Extra-long at nearly 11ft — the dramatic red zigzag spine on ivory ground is a bold, graphic and rare Senneh format. The soft ivory-dominant palette with red & blue accents gives a fresh, bright feel — works beautifully in both classic and contemporary interiors.
