About this rug

This is a vintage Afghan Baluch prayer rug, hand-knotted by the Baluch tribes of Afghanistan. It features a mihrab arch at the top, three bold eight-pointed star medallions running down an ivory-gold field, and rich crimson scrollwork throughout. The deep navy border with repeating dash motifs frames the design cleanly on all sides.

Made from hand-spun wool with a medium pile, the rug has a firm, textured feel and shows an even vintage patina with intact fringes. Its compact size makes it ideal as a prayer rug, bedside accent, hallway runner, or decorative wall piece.
