The field is organized into a neat grid of 16 square panels, each one containing a four-way curling scroll medallion with a small star center, rendered in a rotating cast of colors — navy blue, forest green, crimson red, warm gold, taupe brown, and ivory — every panel different from the next, creating a cheerful, kaleidoscopic grid that feels both tribal and surprisingly contemporary.
The scroll forms themselves are fluid and organic — curling arms radiating outward from a central cross, more rounded and graceful than the angular hooked symbols typical of Afghan tribal work, giving this kilim a softer, almost folk art character. Each panel is outlined by a simple square border in a contrasting color, adding further structure and rhythm to the grid.
