Our Story
Turkman Carpets is a US-registered family business built around one conviction: the world's most beautiful rugs are still made the way they were centuries ago — by hand, on wooden looms, with wool spun and dyed the traditional way.
Our roots are Turkmen. The rugs we sell come from Northern Afghanistan and the surrounding regions, where weaving is not a job but an inheritance passed from mothers to daughters. A single 7x10 carpet can hold over a million hand-tied knots and take a family many months to complete.
We buy directly from weavers and small village workshops, paying fair prices with no middlemen. Every piece in our collection — over 3,000 rugs — is one of a kind. We photograph each rug honestly, describe its condition precisely, and professionally clean it before it ships.
When you buy from us, you're not just decorating a room. You're keeping a centuries-old craft alive.
What we sell
Vintage and antique tribal rugs (1920s–1990s), handwoven kilims and flatweaves, Turkmen and Ersari carpets, Baluch prayer rugs, hallway runners, and rare collector pieces including authentic Afghan war rugs.
