About this rug
This 4x6'7 ft Turkmen Ersari rug is a beautiful vintage Ensi (Parda) rug, hand knotted in the 1950s in Andkhoy village, Afghanistan by skilled tribal artisans. Traditionally used as doorway coverings in Turkmen tents, Ensi rugs carry deep cultural symbolism. This piece features a bold geometric Bokhara-style layout, distinguished by four-panel motifs and tribal borders.
Woven from 100% wool, this rug showcases a rich palette of deep red, maroon, rust, ivory, brown, and black—classic Turkmen tones that bring warmth and character to any space. Its soft wool pile and tribal symmetry make it ideal for bedrooms, entryways, or as a statement piece in bohemian, rustic, or traditional decor.
