This is tribal flatweave at its most honest and direct — no medallion, no central focal point, just pure stripe repetition from top to bottom executed with the kind of quiet precision that only comes from generations of weaving tradition.
The bands alternate between several distinct stripe types — wide crimson red grounds densely packed with rows of small repeating diamond and cross motifs in ivory and orange, narrower decorative bands carrying fine zigzag and chevron patterns in orange and navy, thin vivid orange accent stripes that punctuate the composition with bursts of brightness, and deeper dark navy bands with ivory geometric embroidery-style spot motifs.
