This is a deeply traditional Afghan rug format, handknotted with care and precision, and one that carries both spiritual significance and outstanding decorative appeal.
The central field is a soft glowing salmon pink and ivory, divided into three vertical columns by fine stripe lines and filled with repeating rows of stylized tribal tree and boteh motifs in dark brown and red — each form slightly different, stacked from bottom to top in a calm, meditative rhythm. The mihrab arch at the top is clearly defined by stepped angular outlines, with two small salmon pink corner panels carrying additional floral tribal motifs flanking the niche opening.
