A wonderfully warm and richly coloured vintage Afghan pile rug with an earthy, jewel-toned palette that feels deeply tribal and immediately inviting. The warm tobacco brown field carries a vertical chain of large hexagonal diamond medallions running from top to bottom of the rug, each one outlined in ivory and filled with a detailed geometric cross form in forest green, teal, and dark brown — the chain tight and continuous, one medallion flowing directly into the next in an unbroken central column.
Flanking the central medallion chain on both sides of the field is a dense all-over repeat of bold geometric tribal motifs — large stepped arrow forms, hooked diamond shapes, and cross fills in vivid crimson red, forest green, gold, blue, and ivory, packed tightly across the warm brown ground and giving the rug an extraordinary density of colour and pattern. The interplay between the warm brown ground and the vivid multicolor motifs creates a rich, glowing surface full of tribal energy and character.
